Spring 2009 - Is it getting warm yet where you are? We've had some great weekends so far. While the saying goes 'April showers bring May flowers...', we've got the beautiful May flowers, but we avoided those bothersome April showers. This year I decided to get the lawn rolled. Last summer it got to the point that I was considering shock absorbers on my lawn tractor. Unfortunately, I normally think about lawn rolling late in April. By that time the best rolling days have passed us by. The same thing happened this year, except I ended up getting the lawn rolled anyway. Time will tell. I'd like to thank all of you that sent a personalized postcard to U.S. military personnel stationed overseas through the 'Let's say Thanks' website. I know the cards were appreciated. We missed the Wednesday night gathering before Thanksgiving last November; we had family arriving in town at the same time. Unfortunately, I didn't get any feedback on who may have showed up. I hope some of you had a chance to meet up there. I'm checking to see what upcoming activities may be in the works and I'll let you know. In the mean time, let's hope that everyone has a safe and happy Spring. Summer is just around the corner! |
