What a wild town Clarence can be. There have been several Clarence1973 gatherings at Brennan's this Fall. The most recent was Thursday November 11th, Veteran's Day. With the presidential contests just behind us there was a cautious discussion of some issues that came up during the race. While tax policies, social security, and leadership were discussed, we managed not to ignite any overly passionate arguments.
In a reprieve from the potentially heated issues, Habitat for Humanity was the follow on topic. Several folks are involved in Habitat for Humanity through volunteer organizations, church, or work. There was a general agreement that this is a great organization. Several classmates including Paul and Belle Jacobs and Julie Porter have worked on Habitat homes in Buffalo. They've painted, worked with drywall, and poured concrete among other tasks. Our hats are off to them!
There was a great deal more going on, but I'll have to get to that at a later time.
