We had a great meeting on April 5th! Paul Jacobs and his wife Belle, Tim Cashmore, Cheryl (Suess) Hallman, Jeff Chudy, and Tim & Julie Porter were the dedicated representatives for our initial meeting. After marveling at how young we all still looked, we rolled up our sleeves and got down to brainstorming. Some of the ideas include the following (in no specific order):
- Town Park Picnic over 4th of July Weekend, Memorial Day or Labor Day
- Pig Roast at High School just for fun!
- March in Memorial Day Parade to get the word out
- Meet at Brennans Bar, maybe in conjunction with other events
- Beer Tent at Labor Day Picnic - Class of 72 did this...
Budd Bailey, working late at the Buffalo News, called in to offer his support and was pressured to resurrect TGIF. (We have our fingers crossed). We have other ideas that were bantered about, and each of those in attendance are researching or tracking down information on options that we'll discuss on May 2nd.
We hope to get a bigger crowd that can contribute ideas and help us figure out what will draw the largest group of our classmates together this summer. Plan on attending May 2nd, 7PM at Teso's!
