After spending some time looking through contact lists and catching up on news and happenings, we got down to work. We reviewed all the logistics related to the picnic and responsibilities. Many folks have volunteered to help out, so we can spread responsibilities around. Food is mostly set, we're still looking for salads and desserts, but most people are bringing something. Drinks are in good shape, we can always use another cooler and some ice. Bill Irr has coordinated for a DJ to provide musical entertainment, and he and Don Smith have some keep-sakes in the works. (The prototype looks great!)
We reviewed the contact list and split responsibility to follow up with non-RSVP classmates. Budd Bailey called from work to check on where he could contribute. Bill Irr promptly signed him up for cleanup! Tim Porter's camera refused to take pictures so here is a list of other attendees. Always reliable, Jeff Chudy was here as a charter member of the coordinators along with Julie Porter. In addition to Bill, Don and Tim, Cindy Lauer Riggio and Marsha Metz Jacobs were back supporting the cause. Kathy Ernst Hirschler and Karen Stollsteimer Ciminelli rounded out the crew.
It looks like the picnic will be a lot of fun. Remember that it starts at 2PM following the High School Tour at Noon. (No need to RSVP for the tour, just be sure to arrive NLT 11:50AM in front of the school. The tour heads inside promptly at Noon. The picnic offers food, entertainment, give-aways, drinks, games for family members (including playground for kids), and chances to renew old friendships.
