What a crowd! First of all, everyone should know that Brennan's has expanded! They are double the size that you will remember... they even had a live band. There were a great number of our classmates on hand for this fantastic event. The number of people to talk to and overcoming all the familiar faces slowed some socializing initially. But then things took off.
You could overhear a lot of the old stories flying around, and see the smiles. There were also plenty of hugs and kisses as old friends found each other... and Scott Roth was hugging or kissing everyone, classmate or not. (I think I saw him making a pass at Dave Campbell, but I'm not sure). Every time someone new walked in the door there was a murmur of debate as to who they might be. It took Deb Milbrand a few minutes to realize that Shellie Schweitzer's fiancee was not a classmate. Chris Bailey drove up from Cleveland with his wife, Laurie just for the evening because he knew he could not make it to the picnic. (Scott allegedly kissed both of them). Like I said, it was a great time.
Several folks showed up that were unable to make the Saturday picnic. They included Chris Bailey, Joe Kody, Lou Ciminelli, Chuck Lewis, and Dave Campbell. Each of them asked that we say hello for them on Saturday. As the evening ended, we were all emotionally primed for the picnic on Saturday.
