Devils
Friday, May 2nd
We obligingly looked through old yearbooks and caught up on news and happenings. Then we all sat down and had dinner together while the catching up continued. Several folks wandered in through the evening and this gave us a chance to get up, welcome them, and go through enjoyable reintroductions. I think I can honestly say that everyone had a real good time. After things broke up at Teso's about half the crew met at Finlocks for a drink and more talk. You can see pictures on the photo album pages.

We briefly interrupted conversation to go over the emerging plans:
  • We're marching in the Memorial Day parade as a group. Cheryl Hallman and Julie Porter are coordinating this event that is intended to be a fun activity that will also help get the word out.
  • We're also planning a small picnic type gathering over the 4th of July Weekend... several folks are doing the additional leg work to get this rolling.
  • Kim Merrihew and John Fassel are putting together a golf tournament for classmates and/or spouses... this will be in July or August.
  • Then we're going to have some kind of get together over the Labor Day Weekend and also plan some kind of meet at the Clarence Center Firemans Picnic. (May include a challenge softball game with the Class of 72)

As you can see, we're not doing One Big Event, but rather s series of smaller things that we hope give everyone a chance to participate. Check out the web site and get us some feedback on other activities we can explore. What else would you like to see on the web pages? Be sure to take the poll as to when you would best be able to make it back here.

Contrary to the information I put out at last Friday evening, interest in a Labor Day event is leading the 4th of July by about 2:1. Be sure to take the poll on the www.clarence1973.com main page.
