As you know, Scott Roth decided that all us 'locals' need to get together for old times sake at Brennan's. About 15 locals made it, many of us started with dinner in the expanded restaurant area, then we all hung around swapping stories and sipping a few beers. Unlike the Class Picnic, most of us started heading for home after 9:30. Budd Bailey and Fred Baron accused us of being 'light-weights', but the combination of a long workweek and a few beers wore us out. Bob Schoenthal claimed he was going hunting early in the morning.... who knows. (Our advancing age, on the other hand, had nothing to do with it).
Everyone seemed to have a great time. Sally Murto McCloe was as animated as always while listening to Scott Roth reveal details of a Jr High School romance. It was also nice to see Paul Jacobs' smiling face as he is up and about and looking good. Ron Bieksza explained his absence at the Class Picnic. He had missed the specific instructions on the location of the picnic in August. As a result, he spent the day travelling to all the other Clarence Town parks in search of his classmates.
At this point, we're not sure who were the last to leave Brennan's, but it was a nice time seeing familiar faces again.
