TGIF

Vol. 1 No. 33 CCHS, Clarence, N.Y. June 8, 1973

What is TGIF?
"TGIF is a newspaper. It's purpose is to keep the studens of Clarence Central High School informed about what's happening in a factual, informative, and timely manner."

With these words, Tim Cashmore, started one of the success stories of the year. Cashmore, probably one of the best TRIDENT editors the school has seen, was worried about getting topical news out on time. TRIDENT could not do it due to deadline problems. Therefore, TGIF was created for that purpose.

You may not remember those first few issues. They were hastily prepared, illegable, and ignored. On 10/11/72, Tim decieded to appoint Budd Bailey as TGIF Editor. The rest is history. TGIF now has a place among the students of Clarence Central.

Since the yearbook has developed a passion for avoiding the printed word, TGIF is publishing this year in review. It contains a summary of all the activities this year in the school. We hope you will enjoy this issue. We dedicate it to the students and contributors who made it all possible.

Girls' Basketball:
The Girls' Basketball Team were vctims of a hard luck story this year. When the team managed to win; it was usually against a non-divisional team. When a few people showed up for home games, the other team objected and kicked the fans out of the gym.

The Cute Qunitet did have some bright spots. Eden did manage to go down to a big defeat. Seniors Liz Dunne, Rosemarie Calvaneso, and Julie Kreher had big years.

A lot of talent is due back next year: Kathy Johnson, Cheryl Horan, Dale Fiegl, and Missy Carlton. Perhaps with the fine team expected and a few wins, spectators will be allowed to watch!!
